ChildsPlay101 was an idea that came about after years of listening to parents talk about their frustrations when trying to plan extra-curricular activities for their children. The information was spread out over so many different websites and program guides that it was difficult and time-consuming to find just the right program for their child.

We wondered, “Why isn’t there one central place for all this information?” And then we thought, “Why not build it ourselves!”
We saw a need in the community and we filled it. Parents can now easily review all the programs over all the facilities in Greater Victoria. No more wondering if there is something else out there that might fit the bill. No more scrambling when a program is cancelled days before it was about to start. Parents can now browse through all the different types of activities; they may have been unaware of just how many different types of programs are offered. ChildsPlay101 makes it easy for parents to find programs tailored specifically to their children.

ChildsPlay101 showcases all the options for getting your children active and involved in the community. It also provides a free and easy way for clubs and organizations to promote the children’s programs that they offer.

The owner and co-founder of ChildsPlay101.com Carmen Scott, along with co-founder Cindy Donatelli, are two Victoria moms who met and attended the University of Victoria in the mid-70's and have been good friends ever since.

As ChildsPlay101.com grows and becomes "the spot" to check out children's activities, I will always be thankful to my family, friends, Cindy, project manager Chris (Mr. Wonderful), all the parents, caregivers, sponsors and facilities that have helped me along the way.
